We do not condone piracy of any kind. Asking for, providing or discussing illegal download links is not allowed in our communities.

Purchasing legitimate game copies, through the PlayStation Store or through acquiring game discs, and using those copies with RPCS3 is the best way to ensure you will have a clean copy that will work with the emulator. You can use your legal copies with RPCS3 by following the instructions in our Quickstart guide.

We're always open to allowing contributors to add to the codebase. Emulators are a complex pieces of software and as such, have many sub-components that require special attention and organization. With your help, you can contribute in taking RPCS3 to the next level.

Our developers are pushing the very boundaries of PlayStation 3 emulation. Our rapid progression would not be possible without our contributors and Patrons. Our patrons not only keep us motivated, but keep our lead developers working on the project full time.

Downloading the website source allows you to clone, fork or contribute any enhancements via GitHub. RPCS3.net is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2.0. Its core developed and maintained by DAGINATSUKO, while the compatibility database is developed and maintained by Ani.

Our press kit is an amalgamation of all of the assets previewed on the branding page and more in a single package. It enables those who wish to promote the project and its development through high-quality digital media. We provide high-resolution assets such as our logo in 3 iterations, our supported operating systems, supported CPU and GPU hardware, rendering backends and much more.

so I follow a video that Arcade Pirate made on his channel, but I don't like how he did it or how he explain it, I try to follow a lots videos on how to add ps3 emulators on big box and launch box but they don't explain the right way on how to hide the GUI or hide the Launcher for PS3 emulators. I even try to find answer on this forum and there all out dated post and topic that was like back 2019 and so I was wondering if there is anyways to explain to me in baby step how to get ps3 emulator run on Big box and also run it right way and also how to hide the ps3 launching part here a video I made to show you what its does on Big box.

I made this video to show everyone on how the PS3 Emulator acts up when its start to launch in Big Box and Launch Box. I am sorry if my grammar is not perfect but I figure I can make this video and to show you guys on how its behaving and I hope you guys can show me and explain to me in baby step how to get the PS3 hub and GUIS launcher from not showing in front of Big box and hide it some how.

You might be able to hide it with an ahk script. I never played around with ps3 emulators myself yet. Also might be worth it to check the emulators website for any special command line parameters you could use.

To hide the emulator during game launch go to: LaunchBox > Tools > Manage Emulators > RPCS3 > Startup Screen tab. Tick "Hide All Windows that are not in Exclusive Fullscreen Mode". Then increase the "Startup Load Delay" slider. I have set mine to 20 seconds.

all you need to do is set the "close active window" hotkey in LaunchBox and/or Big Box to whatever you want on your controller and it will do just that. find it in options > controller mappings and set it to whatever you like. then when you push that button (or button combo) when you're playing a game it will close the emulator

If we played a game on a PS3 emulator (namely RPCS3) and unlocked trophies, how could we move the trophy data from the emulator to the PS3/something capable of transmitting trophy data to PSN to sync? Does Sony and/or PSNP allow this? Would our trophy data have the timestamps of when we earned them on the emulator or when they synced to PSN?

I wonder, is it okay to do something pretty universally equated to piracy, and then use the data gathered from said activity to make it look like I've played on a legitimate console, even if I might not even own one? I guess I go ask on a site where fiddling with one's account in such a way is a flaggable offence, it should be fine.

To my knowledge and understanding, emulating is allowed as long as the code meets certain requirements. Dolphin for the Wii is an example of this because it emulates the Wii and can run multiple games, and Nintendo never sued it. I don't think it'd be cheating, cause you'd still need to run the game on a console that can connect to PSN to be able to sync trophies, and getting pirated games would prevent you from doing so. RPCS3's website makes it clear that you need to dump your own games.

And even if you'll use a real machine and a real copy to sync your data, the data will still count as an outside source (one that might even need a format conversion to even be detected), and therefore, flaggable. Not to mention that if you have a real game and a real console in the first place, jumping through the emulator hoop is kinda unnecessary.

Yeah, it's a technical tool most and foremost. It's just that it can be used for running both legit copies / dumps of said copies that you can make yourself as a means of backup, or a copy you pirate for free - and that last bit is what gets companies in a twist and is illegal.

Nintendo doesn't sue emulators they only sue roms believing they could stop them. Recently they stopped two sites, and another one removed all Nintendo roms because they were scared. But the world didn't refuse to change (lol)

Kinda hard to say if it's flaggable or not. If it's your personal save and trophies, there's no problem there. The gray area here is if it's considered an outside source. An emulator makes so that it is running the console it was made for. So for all intended purposes, you are playing on PS3 architecture, but also not. There's no problem transferring your personal saves to another PS3 as long as the trophy data doesn't get manipulated in any way. Does RPCS3 have any features emulators usually have like save states and fast forwarding? If it does, then yeah, no way it would be allowed then.

Good question-I don't know. What I do know is that you can earn trophies and play certain games from beginning to end. You can also use your own PS3 saves. My question is, can you take the file on which trophies are saved and paste that in the PS3, then connect to PSN. Would the timestamps match when you earned it on the emulator or would they look like you used a save file (ie all messed up and in close proximity).
