Sparse exponentials

Hello,

I'm interested in doing calculating the following: exp(M) . gamma .
exp(M')
for sparse M (2n nonzero elements in n*n) and dense gamma. I'm trying
to understand the underlying algorithm in expv currently, but maybe a
few kicks in the right place will get me there faster. I don't suppose
anyone has already tried to do such a thing, or have any ideas about
how to go about it?
