Axel, as a qualified pedant, I disagree with your pronunciation guides for Traceur and Babel.

The 'a' in Traceur is a short one (at least in French) – like the English 'attend'  (or Axel?), as in the link you provide; 'truh' seems a long way from this. I would suggest 'trassir' would be closer.

Conversely, the 'a' in Babel is a long one, as in the English 'bay'; perhaps 'baybel' would be a good transliteration? Ahh – we may have a 'let's call the whole thing off' here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCJRdG_ulwo gives it a long 'a', but http://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/babel suggests that UK pronunciation is with a long 'a', US pronunciation with a short 'a'. I've never heard it with a short 'a'!

Traceur: Note that the stress is on the second syllable. Then I don’t see a difference between truh-SIR and tra-SIR. Listen to the French pronunciation, esp. the French Canadian one: http://forvo.com/word/traceur/

Babel is pronounced like in Australia, not like in the US, because Babel’s creator is Australian.

I didn't know about Babel's roots. I see Sebastian says 'babble', so fair do's, cobber!

French doesn't really have stressed syllables (at least in France, I don't know Canadian French) – I would say the vowel sound is completely different, but it's your book, you need to go with what works for you...
