Its purpose is to help them in quickly working out Nifty earning & valuation. (for e.g. Today's announcement of change in corporate tax rate is one such case, where these kind of tools would be extremely useful) Variables are in Pink Fonts - like expected Net Sales Growth, Tax Rate and so on. One can alter them as per his understanding and assumptions to see the resultant effect. In the Valuation Summary Sheet, one can assign the multiples he feels appropriate for a stock, and see its impact on stock price and Nifty as a whole.
