All,
While dealing with the SPOT device I saw an option for SAR insurance. For $18 they provide will cover up to $100K in SAR expences. I admittedly didn't check it out but if anyone is interested let me know. You can look yourself at www.geosalliance.net.

Not a bad idea... could save us lots of $$$ if something bad happened.
