Dear Colleagues,

 

We are currently looking to fill a postdoc position at Durham University with a high caliber candidate with an interest in the area of Experimental Finance. This is a fixed term position with support for 21 months from the ESRC-FNR links grant, "Assessing Societal Impacts of Pervasive Computer Algorithmic Traders Algorithms in Markets Using Controlled Laboratory Experiments." There is a possibility to extend this to a full two year appointment. The position will provide access to resources for data collection and research related travel. 

 

The successful candidate to join the research team of the grant which has members at Durham University, The University of Manchester and the University of Luxembourg.   Further, the successful applicant will be expected to provide support in executing the research projects specified in the grant, independently conduct world leading research, and contribute to the research environment of the Durham University Business School and the Experimental Methods in Business Research (EMBR) Centre in particular. The position also offers the opportunity to participate in the vibrant and growing Behavioural and Experimental Northeast Cluster (BENC), a collaboration between Newcastle and Durham University promoting and facilitating experimental and behavioural research in the domains of academia, policy and business, and promotes the international visibility of Northeast England as leader in these areas. In practical terms providing an excellent research infrastructure for conducting experimental research and organizing an active seminar series as well as other events.  The deadline for application is June 21, 2018, with flexible starting date but ideally Oct.1,  with details on the application process found in the official advertisement for the position found here.
