Hi,

I have just released two new versions for the HTTP Client
developed at http://code.google.com/p/expath-http-client/. There
has been a major refactoring to release the Saxon-independent
code as a library (depending on the Apache HTTP Client library),
while the Saxon implementation is based on this one and released
as a second archive.

The Java-generic version is used in eXist trunk in order to
provide the EXPath HTTP Client natively. It is planned to
interate it within other processors as well in the future. You
can find both versions at:

http://code.google.com/p/expath-http-client/downloads/list

The files are:

expath-http-client-java-0.1.0.zip
expath-http-client-saxon-0.8.0.zip

We'd like to develop further this technique in the future in
order to ease integrating the same implementation within several
processors.

Regards,
