I have just released a new version of the Project Manager. You
can see some of the advantages of using a project manager in my
response to Joe earlier today, about his new XQuery library [1].
Basically it allows you to automatically build a XAR package
and run test suites with simple commands, as long as you follow
some simple conventions. A bit like Maven for Java for instance.
The changes in the version 0.4.0 are:
- support for "xproj test", that runs automatically test
suites (several processors supported in XSpec: BaseX,
eXist, MarkLogic, Saxon and Zorba)
- support for xproject/saxon.xml and Saxon-specific projects
- the project has been renamed from expath-project to
xproject (this is not the only project manager usable with
EXPath, this is just one possible)
- new tests for the project itself
- getting revision number from Subversion and Git when
applicable
You can get the file, xproject-0.4.0.zip, as usual from there
(or the direct link at [2]):
