Help every woman fight cancer of the womb, ovaries and cervix.
The women of today are empowered like never before. And while we appreciate their efforts
and applaud their achievements we should be equally concerned about their health.
Gynaecological cancers originate from a woman’s reproductive organs, and they are a serious
concern today. Uterine (womb) cancer is the 4th most common cancer among Singaporean
women. Ovarian cancer is 5th and Cervical cancer is the 10th most common. The rankings* reflect
a need for action.
Here’s what we can do. Encourage the women in our lives to find out how to protect themselves
from the prevalent gynaecological cancers at the Women’s Gynaecological Cancer Public Forum.
Next, urge them to go for regular Pap smears once every three years to screen for Cervical cancer.
And most important of all, remind them that they are always on our minds.
