While originally trained as a cancer specialist at the UCLA Center for Health Sciences, Dr Tucker currently focuses on both adult general medicine and cancer medicine. His practice ranges from the prevention of disease and illness to the treatment of both acute and chronic medical problems.
Dr Tucker is also an expert in medical technology and digital health. By studying information from multiple sources, such as personal genetics, metabolic testing, sensors and activity trackers, he helps patients develop personalized health plans that combine the elements of behavioral change with those of conventional medicine, as necessary.
Whenever possible, he promotes lifestyle interventions and patient empowerment to prevent and treat diseases, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer.
Dr Tucker has received numerous honors and awards including a prestigious Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, a Commendation from the US National Institutes of Health, the UCLA ‘STAR’ Program Award and Pew Foundation Fellowship. Dr Tucker is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), as well as an Officer of the Chapter of Medical Oncologists, College of Physicians Singapore (CPS). He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Preventive Oncology, the Singapore Urological Association and the Singapore Society of Oncology. He is also an Officer of the American Association of Singapore and on the Board of Directors.
Dr Tucker lectures frequently in Singapore and abroad to industry and health leaders.
