oct. 1st 2016 I installed the newest version. seemed to be going fine. untill i get to initializing VFS...then crashes. help

long story short ... dog ... pee... all in one computer... not good. so i found this old dell lap top in the closet. I want to install second life. it installs fine ...but when i get to initialing VFS.. closes. i have reinstalled. uninstalled...installed older version. repeated the process with ..other viewers,,,singularity and firestorm...and ive been googling support questions for hours. I know nothing about computers.. though now i may know a little more.
maybe some techy wizard can help me.... guess first question is ..is the lap top at all compatible.
well here are the specs I found....
Processor : AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 mobile technology TL-60 Graphics Hardware: ATI Radeon x1270 Operating System : Windows 7 32bit RAM: 2.00 GHz
ive read about updating drivers... been to the AMD sight. no auto updates for this driver. I read that the AMD Catalyst 14.3 Beta download helped sombody else with similar problem. but i dont know if thats worth compatible with what i have.
can anybody help

oh, how i loved the exodus viewer!
But wait that were 2014 it last got updated, right?
Joesph, there are so much nice and new viewers out there.
Maybe You like to take a look at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory
They are fresh and supported. exodus were stunning at its time! time grow some new viewers which are interesting too.
