How do you adjust your aim while zoomed in?

When using exodust beta 13.07.09.1 on a mac whenI zoom in in mouselook I can no longer move my aim while zoomed in. I asked other people on my team about how to zoom in to snipe and they all said they can move in zoom fine. Is this a mac bug or am I doing something wrong? It is like rt clicking to zoom in freezes my view.
