Good day,

I've setup Exodus and everything works fine. I have a program written
in Pick Basic. Is there any way for me to compile or automatically
convert this program to another language for compilation, and run it
in Exodus ?

Kind regards,
Kavish

Hiya Kavish,

Sorry, there isnt an converter for any other language despite is being largely a routine "one for one" translation.

You just have to sit a junior programmer down to the job. They can use a combination of global replace in editors or write programs that convert the basic syntax eg then/end else becomes } else { etc if your target is java or c++

Out of interest, which of the languages that exodus supports do you prefer?

Steve

Hey,

Okay. I'll have to get around to writing a Pick Basic to C++ statement
converter.

I prefer C++. I don't like the performance overhead of loading large
libraries (.net, java) into memory before actual program execution.
And interpreted languages (perl, python, php) lack in performance for
large scale enterprise level applications. So I'm going to stick with C
++.

Thanks,
Kavish
