I finally have some simple solutions for grading writing and grammar. This process is an effective way to maintain consistent and meaningful writing assignments.

Throughout it all, they seek balance, as our students learn that academic success comes in harmony with personal well-being. Twelfth graders are prepared for their transition to college by assuming the role of leaders of the School through the Peer Leaders program and other leadership roles. These roles allow them to set an example of respect, kindness and inclusivity for all students in the community. Seniors also complete the 60 hours of community service required for graduation.

1. Roll the die. Match the number rolled with the corresponding row on the Roll and Write chart.

2. Write a simple sentence about the topic you land on.

3. Continue the process by rolling the die, then writing the correct type of sentence for each roll about the topics you land on.

How do I find grammar alive on TPT? I have searched all over. I have typed the name of the this website, the words Grammar Alive, and Allison. I have used those words in a variety of ways and it is not coming up under school access. I wanted to get the Kindergarten grammar for the year.

It was August of 2005. I stared at my lesson plan book in frustration, having made a complete mess of my notes about teaching grammar. I was excited to begin my first year of teaching high school English, but I was so confused about how to structure the semester. Students have to understand nouns, verbs, and modifiers to be able to identify the subject and verb of a sentence as well as to divide a sentence in two: complete subject and complete predicate.
