Purchased these (2) to replace 4 AGM batteries in my RV. Half the weight. Easy to mount & secure with feet everywhere. The AGMs were total of 600 AH & these are 540 AH, but work out to 165% total useable total energy. An old Xantrex TruSine 2.0 Charger/Inverter/Switch & 200 Watt solar Renolgy system with PWM. Programmed both for Lithium charging at 14.4 & 13.5 float. But AGM profile is very similar at 14.3 & 13.4 float if I was lazy. CPU controlled device keeps RV engine battery charged & the engine can also charge these two as well. I are pleased with how easy it was & how much information is on your website about details of your charger/inverters/switches and how to program it for lithium. Thanks Guys & Gals!


The guys at Battle Born helped me get the right products to convert from four 100Ah AGM batteries to a single GC3 270Ah battery in our Airstream Interstate Sprinter van. I added the Victron Energy MultiPlus Compact 2000 W charger/inverter that Battle Born provided preconfigured with the charge settings for the GC3.


We were able to test the system while off grid on a trip last month in Utah and the system performed perfect and made off grid camping possible where our old and tired AGM batteries would not make it through a night. Next morning we had 70% SOC and our 300w of solar panels had the battery back to 100% by 10:00am.

Salzgitter. PowerCo SE is planning to introduce a completely new manufacturing process in its battery cell production plants in Europe and Northern America. The new technology will significantly boost efficiency and sustainability in volume battery cell production. A subsidiary of Volkswagen Group and based in Salzgitter, Niedersachsen, the battery company aims to industrialize the so-called Dry Coating procedure. The technology allows a decrease in energy consumption of about 30 percent, internal tests have already proven successful. Together with German printing machine specialist Koenig & Bauer AG, PowerCo will further develop and industrialize the Dry Coating procedure.


To achieve this goal, PowerCo and Koenig & Bauer have signed a Joint Development Agreement. Together they will develop a roller press for powder coating electrodes at large industrial scale. The Dry Coating procedure allows manufacturing electrodes without wet-coating and subsequently drying them at high costs. With the new procedure, the most energy-intensive part of cell manufacturing and the use of chemical solvents are no longer required. PowerCo is already testing and optimizing the technology in a pilot line in one of its laboratories in Northern Germany. As a printing specialist, Koenig & Bauer will develop a machine for the industrial powder coating.


The dry coating technology simplifies electrode production. Once industrialised, it will eliminate the wet-coating and energy-consuming drying processes, and the entire resulting battery cell production chain will consist of dry mixing; in the form of a new powdery solvent-free material mix, and the calendaring process; with cells being thinly rolled directly onto the foil. In other words, only two process steps will be necessary, eliminating 50% of the current phasing involved.


Highlighting its strategic vision for expansion, PowerCo began construction this past March for a second gigafactory, strategically located in Sagunto, near Valencia, Spain, which is expected to open by 2026. The announcement of its dry coating technology comes at a fortuitous time, coinciding with an expanding supply infrastructure that could potentially bolster distribution; angling PowerCo into a position of advantage in the market.


Top tier battery supplier Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL) impressed the industry by unveiling its first-generation sodium-ion (Na-ion) battery on 29 July. The new product is designed for the global transportation electrification and energy storage markets, with an expected timeline of mass production targeting 2023.


Compared to the extensively-used lithium-ion (Li-ion) cells, Na-ion cells have a lower energy density and cycle life but perform better in a wide operational temperature range and are safer. Na-ion cells have a similar working principle to Li-ion cells and are expected to be at least 20% cheaper than LFP due to their lithium-free nature. However, separator and electrolyte costs could be significant and result in Na-ion being more costly.
