Anyways, I managed to verify my identity and subsequently changed my password. Everything else is fine but I have lost all the apps in my developer account which probably numbered between 20 - 30. I have tried submitting the problem in the facebook accounts section but have not gotten a reply since. Has anyone had a problem like this before and how can I get in contact with someone who will actually reply and can help with the problem?
p.s. I have found another similar thread but they differed in that they lost their "developer" status and got their apps back after they signed up as a developer again. My facebook account is already signed up as a developer but the apps are nowhere to be found.
Facebook is cancelling third-party apps integrations. Is that going to affect our live streaming from Zoom to Facebook group as well or is this function going to keep on working even after all the apps are deleted from all the Facebook groups on the 22nd of April? Thanks.
What FB said is you will have to have a page associated with the group to keep using Zoom in the group. That is what I understood. If you have a page associated with the group and you have the right to broadcast into the page you will be fine.
Facebook third-party apps refer to applications developed by external developers that integrate with the Facebook platform, allowing users to access Facebook features and data through these apps. These apps can range from games and productivity tools to social media management tools and more. Developers use Facebook's API (Application Programming Interface) to access user data and interact with the platform.
Facebook has very messy and strange policy about connecting with external apps to send leads. becouse of that there can be many wierd situations. i have researched this issue for several days already and here is what i have found: (i decided to share and maybe help others cut theyr research time and save some time and energy)
Conclusion. Try removing your app connection to facebook from all these places and also disconnect your app from facebook from inside your app and than connect again fresh and test. It should work, maybe please facebook make it more simple and less crazy.
Whenever I go to link a new app downloaded on my phone to Facebook, or want to "log in with facebook" it brings up the incorrect facebook account, it is the account of one of my colleagues who once logged in through instagram as our business profile is linked there. Now every app wants to log into her facebook, its driving me nuts, im not logged into this account anywhere else I dont even know the password but I cant change it to my own, PLEASE HELP!
You are misunderstanding my question it is not linked to the facebook app, my Facebook app is logged into my own account, the problem is with all other apps where you would want to log in with facebook or create an account with facebook, that small pop up window is always logged into a different facebook account.
I've been trying to block the Facebook app on mobile phones and allow Facebook Messenger by using Layer 7 and Content filtering rules but unfortunately the Facebook app still goes through however, it is already blocked on the web browser. Facebook Messenger app is also blocked but I want it to be allowed through.
If you still want to persist in the overwhelming odds of failure, do a packet capture on port 53, reboot the devices, and then access the two different systems. Examine what DNS entries that are requested.
Hi. I've already denied Social web & photo sharing -> Facebook in Layer 7 and also Social Networking on Content Blocking. But only the web browser based and Messenger apps get blocked. The Facebook app still goes through these filters. Any suggestions?
To achieve this level of granular control you want you will struggle on the Meraki for the reasons previously outlined. You would need a firewall that supports HTTPS inspection, which basically decrypts the traffic to be able to differentiate between facebook messenger and regular Facebook.
Once you have configured the recommended rules the QUIC traffic will get blocked by the Firewall, the app will then fall back to using traditional TLS/SSL which will be blocked by the Meraki content filtering rules.
If the user has interacted with your page in the last 7 days, your reply will send as expected. If they have not, you will see a note that the message couldn't be sent. In these cases, you can still reply to the conversation directly from Facebook.
"Facebook is changing the permissions required for your Pages to work with Intercom. You can fix this by clicking the 'Reconnect to Facebook' button. Do this by 31 December to avoid disruption to your conversations."
If you have connected more than one Facebook page, you can disconnect the integration and delete all of the Facebook pages you have connected. Just remove Intercom from your installed apps in your Facebook integration settings.
If you notice this issue please start by reconnecting to Facebook in the settings of the Facebook app in the Intercom App Store. If this doesn't resolve the issue please try re-connecting each page in the Facebook app settings in the Intercom App Store as laid out above.
@Steven9761: Some third party apps that come pre-installed on our mobile devices such as Facebook are part of the software, and cannot be uninstalled. As you have discovered you can disable them to prevent them from working in the background, so they shouldn't feel too intrusive. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Over the years Facebook has expanded to include multimedia content and sharing content initially posted by others on Facebook or elsewhere. All stuff that seems rudimentary to us now, but at the time were pioneering innovations from Facebook and other members of that first post-MySpace wave of social networks.
It is around these purported interests that Facebook segments its audiences for its core revenue generator: advertising. The sheer number of Facebook users around the world means that the app offers one of the most comprehensive and diverse advertising audiences of the digital age.

Just got an Oculus Quest 2, and I can't go further the Oculus App trying to connect to Facebook.
The Oculus App sends me to Facebook... I approve the connection, allow and give permissions, but when it goes back to the Oculus App, the blue button of Facebook spins for ever.
I deleted both, Facebook and Oculus App and re-started. Nothing changed.
I give all the permissions to the apps ... nothing changed.
I try from both, my iPhone 8plus and 2020 iPad Pro ... nothing happens.
Oculus Quest 2 download the updates, My phone connects to everything ... there is no connection issues.
I am having same issue. It was showing my fb account in my meta account center but each time I try to send a picture or join Messenger it tells me I have to add Facebook. So I deleted my Facebook account from Meta account (and Instagram) and now when I try to add it, it tells me my fb account is restricted! And there is an error trying to add my Instagram account again. There are no updates on my headset.
Howdy there, @Caffeine88! We completely understand that when you try to send an image or join Messenger, it asks you to add Facebook. And we understand how this could be concerning. So, rest assured that we'll get to the bottom of this with your help. We strongly advise you to open a support ticket so that you can schedule a call back or chat live with us to get this fixed as soon as possible.

So in addition to monitoring your profile privacy settings on Facebook, you should also consider deleting older apps and installing newer versions. Here is an example of the data access from an older YouTube app and then the newer YouTube app. Much less personal information is available, and much less is required for the app to work.
The NPE Team already has released apps such as Aux, a social music app, and Bump, a matchmaking app for students, The Information reported in September. The Times' reporting suggests that travel-booking services, audio streaming platforms and various makers of enterprise software may have reason to worry about Facebook's possible encroachment on their turf. Facebook isn't alone in creating an in-house tech incubator, and it's too early to tell how many of its ideas will come to fruition.
Facebook has a history of copying ideas from rivals like Snapchat, and creating apps to fend off startups like the live-streaming app Houseparty. However, Facebook also faces growing antitrust scrutiny and calls to reverse its acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp to check its power in the U.S. digital ad market. Amid the antitrust scrutiny, Facebook last month introduced a corporate logo to unite its family of products, including its main social network, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus virtual reality (VR) platform, Portal smart displays and Calibra digital wallet.
The Times report offers fresh insight into how the NPE Team is structured under Ime Archibong, who has led the unit since August. He had been vice president of product partnerships at Facebook since 2010, according to his LinkedIn profile. The NPE Team consists of five "pods" that each have 10 to 15 people who brainstorm on different projects. The NPE Team has slightly different branding from Facebook, giving the company flexibility to change apps or shut them down on short notice, the Times reported.
