Ihave a quick EV question. I have the codes and everything but is it bad to have 255 EV in every stat? (Like Special Attack, Speed, Attack, etc.) And all my Pokemon are level 1 with Max IVs and Max EVs. Should I just rare candy them to 100 now?

Place the Pokemon with it's item it needs to evolve, if it needs one, into the GTC, asking for an insane Pokemon in return, like a level 1 Ho-oh or level 100 Weedle. Then make a trade with someone on the GTC, and take your Pokemon out. Voila, evolved. Some people don't need to make a trade with someone, but I have to.

Can someone help me test something? I am trying to breed my shiny Eevee with a ditto, but it always says that the 2 don't like each other very much. Can someone tell me if it is because my Eevee or that both pokemon are shiny? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello I'm new here and sorry if it seems dumb, but I must know if the code to get all TMs and HMs works because I've been seeing multiple TM/HM codes but they apparently have no button select which makes me think not a working code.

Any help would be appreciated in pin-pointing the codes. Also, I'm looking for the shiny pokemon code...Like for all types...Be it hatching stationary beginners etc. Was also curious what other event pokemon that are listed cause I didn't seem to see Mew anywhere in the list.

I would like to know what is the best efficient method to get Crobat in Pokmon Crystal, Gold, Silver, Soul Silver or Heart Gold.I have tried to make my lvl 51 Golbat happy, but it don't evolves, and I don't know what to do now. I need a form of getting a Crobat in less than 2 days. Thanks.

If it doesn't evovle, then it's not happy enough. The most efficient approach depends on how far you are from the target; if you're very close, then a haircut might do the trick, or a grooming from Daisy.

Assuming that you're really playing HG/SS, as your question title suggests, you can get a lot of friendship points very quickly if you have a steady supply of EV berries and money to burn on vitamins; refer to Bulbapedia for exact numbers. However, this necessarily disrupts any EV training you may have performed, so you have to determine if that approach is worth it.

If you are able to dump your saved game, you can check the current friendship level exactly and plan the best strategy based on how far you have to go; you can also approximate the friendship level; the NPC in Goldenrod City near the bike shop is probably the most easily accessible one.

You can only evolve Golbat into Crobat you need level his happiness (Friendship) independent of your Generation (besides the first), but as @MichaelMadsen pointed in his answer, you can get a Crobat in a trade.

Generally when the NPC In Goldenrod say "I've got the feeling your Pokemon really trusts you" You're at that stage where you can level it to 25 and it will evolve, I had my Zubat since level 2 and i just finished the 4th gym. It's had a sooth bell since before the third gym when I picked it up in the National Park.

The friendship balls really are the best method. I caught a level 16 golbat in the patch of grass west of mahogany with a friendship ball and its happiness rating starts at like 210 I think. After I caught it, I gave it one each of calcium, protein, iron, carbos, and HP up. Then, I gave it a rare candy, and it evolved. That's the best method. This is on the silver version, though.

If you really want one, you can give Kurt a GRN Apricorn and wait until it turns into a friend ball. Catch a golbat with the friend ball. Give it a soothe bell and a haircut in the tunnel in Goldenrod to level it up.

I have the same problem. Started happening after I used a 900 rare candy cheat. Cant use medical items in or out of battle. Probs just gotta use a diff cheat or get 999 medical item and throw them all out.

hey ik its been 4 yrs now since this question was asked but i too have the same problem and im just wondering if u guys have any solution. this happened because i used the rarecandy cheat on heartgold. yes, my mistake. i hope you can help me out.

You're in luck, a bit further down I posted the way to fix this issue. TLDR of the fix is to download PKHeX and sort all the items in your medicine pocket by some way, this clears the conflicts present and fixes your save.

the way i fixed this was I used an action replay code that gave me all the medicine items, each 900 in quantity. this solved the issue of the bag breaking, as everything was just replaced with different items, which removed the bugged item. now, you can choose to keep those medicines, or throw them all away. granted, thats a lot of tedious work, but like Zeromus was saying, cheats can break the game if we dont use them properly. As such, i threw away all of my medicines, navigated to the .dct file where the cheats were stored, deleted the file, and restarted the emulator after saving (in game)

You know, I am still new to all of the mods for these... I am SO grateful. I only intended to skip the long training slog I would have been in, and the rare candies made streaming the game very difficult. This fixed it for me and I'm so grateful.
