Smartphones and tablets usually have more limited memory space than PCs, so you may need to uninstall apps more frequently. Though Android and iOS devices are similar, the process for deleting apps is different for each of them.
I install some new apps from the nextcloud store. I would like to know how I can remove the software using the terminal. One of the apps that I downloaded, has caused an issue with opening nextcloud from form the web. I can ssh to the Ubuntu 19.04 server but I can open my nextcloud web page. I get a blank page of my nextcloud instances. From what I getting so far is that I need to uninstall apps from the occ consul. What directory can I find occ and can some share with me the link to get there.
Skipping these screens during Prestage does not restrict them, it just skips over them during the initial setup. A Config Profile to Restrict them are under App Usage - Some apps not allowed and will need to be Scoped separately.
You will want to go to Configuration Profiles - Restrictions - Apps and go to the App usage section and set the drop down to Some apps not Allowed and then add the apps that you don't want to that list.
Yes, fails again on re-install and there is/was a conflict with the passcode. I want the iPads open so anyone in a class can use then but NOT allow them to set a passcode. There was a message saying there was a conflict but it all 'worked'. It even allowed me to install apps on them until yesterday!
As pointed out on that page, keep this in mind: "With manual device enrollment, a 30-day provisional period begins once a device is activated. During that period, users can remove their devices from enrollment, supervision, and MDM."
Hi all, can anyone point me in the direction of where you would remove a 3rd party app from our Office365 tenant? We had a trial of a service that used an app to deliver. This has since elapsed and we did not proceed with the solution. However we appear to have a couple of apps that are still present in the "All Apps" section of All apps Microsoft Office
I installed two test apps in my zoom desktop client that I built, and I have since deleted those apps from my developer account, but they are still showing up in my zoom desktop chat client. How do I remove them?
Hi @Peter_Dresslar1 , I cannot recreate your issue. By simply toggling off Harvest under the Available Apps should remove the icon from the task details. I assume you have refreshed your page and tried to login to your account using an Incognito/private browser window?
What if the app to be removed was the only app deployed? When I issued the "splunk apply shcluster-bundle" command, it came back saying there should be atleast one app to push the configuration. How do I delete my only app using deployer ?
Not quite the same, the caveat being that a SHC Deployer can overwrite /opt/splunk/etc/apps/ on the SHC members, but a Cluster Master will only control what is contained in /opt/splunk/etc/slave-apps/ on the Indexers. For Indexers, you would still need to manually clean up /opt/splunk/etc/apps/ regardless if they are a member of a cluster or not.
we have installed the new WorkspaceApp 1907 and also the ADMX Files for GPO. Under Self-Service wie have configuered "Manage App Shortcuts" with following Settings: remove apps on logoff and "remove apps on exit"
But if an User get an Application (with AD Group Member) he get the New Application in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs. On next day for example we remove the User from the AD Group an the User still see the Application in the Start Menu folder. The Application will not be removed
if I manually log out of the Citrix Workspace app or terminate it, the links are removed. Is there a way that it will be updated at login? Or the possibility that it remove the shortcuts when the Citrix session terminate (logoff)?
We observed that when a a user is given access to a published app running locally (vprefer allow all apps) the start menu would not add the app icon until the user right clicked Workspace App and Refresh. Even logging off windows and back on did not add the icon. Further I noticed that when you removed an app from a user the start menu icon was never removed, even with Refresh. Both of the mentioned issues did not occur if you actually logoff or Exit Workspace App.
I am a beta tests / QA person for app development. Today i needed to remove the app i was testing from the phone. There was no way for me to do it. The remove app option was not there. I called apple support, spent 20 minutes with them, In the end, i needed to switch off Opal in screen time settings screen, then the delete app option turned back on.
Earlier today I installed Google Chrome only to realize that I needed to uninstall it for reasons I won't get into here, so I removed Google Chrome and got Mozilla Firefox back. Before I uninstalled Google Chrome, I downloaded an app from the Chrome Web Store that runs in its own window (not in Google Chrome) that added Chrome Apps into my Xubuntu menu so I can access it. I restarted my computer after the uninstallation, but the Chrome Apps submenu is still in my Xfce menu! I thought this was a problem with a file Google Chrome left behind, so I reinstalled Google Chrome just so I could type sudo apt-get purge google-chrome-stable, which should have deleted some of its files, but that didn't help at all but Google Chrome was still removed from my system like I wanted, including the Chrome App I downloaded. The links in the Chrome Apps menu are broken (like they should be because Google Chrome and the Chrome Apps were removed), but the folder is still there. How do I remove the Chrome Apps menu (or submenu or folder or whatever you call it) from the Xfce menu? Below is a screenshot of this problem.
@Network-dad And this would be how I have it set up, I've tried removing TAGs and whole app and yet they stubbornly stay put. I can deploy with no issues. I can see VPP license allocation but when I remove the tag, no revoking nor removal. I do see on the app page under status that the machine has been removed, but the app is still physically on the machine and in the SM Apps list of the machine even after TAG removal. I'm using device assignment.
If I log in to my iOS Developer account to Xcode, it autoloads all my applications to the Organizer window (Window -> Organizer). Now, when I log out from my account, my apps still persist in Organizer. How can I remove them?
The apps will sync with all your connected accounts, so if you remove them in archives they will be returning soon (see the activity circle in the left bottom corner of organizer when you open it again). You need to leave the team that is connected to these apps. This you can do by logging in to your or your client's developers site online and choose the team in the list that will show in the right top corner under the account you have logged into. Select the regarding team that is connected to the apps you want to remove and go to membership in the bottom you will see button that says "Leave Team" (it is in red). If you them remove the apps from the archives they will not return. You or your client needs to re-invite you to the team in order to return to an active state regarding this account you left.
You're looking at the list of apps for which you've created archives. You can remove an app from the list by removing all of its archives. Click on an app to see its archives. For each archive, you have two choices:
2 years after I answered this, I must update it to say that Apple will delete these spurious apps for you if you contact them directly using one of your technical incidents. It will take weeks and it is done by exception, on request and is not guaranteed they will delete. You have to cry and explain why you want that deleted.
Samsung Smart TVs, and projectors offer tons of exciting apps and games. Whether you have The Frame, the Odyssey Ark, The Freestyle, a QLED TV, The Premiere, or any other Samsung Smart TV, it's easy to find the app you want and start enjoying more entertainment. Aside from installing or deleting them, you can also lock apps or set them to Auto Update. Once everything is all set with your apps, you can watch TV your way.
One of the best parts of having a Samsung Smart TV or projector is getting access to all of the available apps . You can access your favorite video streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, or Vudu. You also have access to music streaming apps like Spotify and Pandora. And just so you know, access to new apps will be occasionally added through software updates.
Hey!
I was struggling with the same thing, wondering why the "Remove from list" button was no longer in the app. I personally think it is annoying to have the uninstalled stuff in the lists, and would always remove them so I only had the once I had installed.
I found a solution to this though;
You have to install Garmin Express on your computer. Then connect your watch to the computer, and go to the apps section. From there you can right-click on the not installed ones and remove them from the list.
Hope this helped!
More generally, it's not a good idea to blindly action things in Alfred without checking what's selected first. Alfred runs several different searches in parallel (one for apps, one for your workflows, one for contacts, one for files etc.), so its results aren't deterministic. If you've trained Alfred to associate "Show pull requests" with "pu", then that will always end up at the top of the results, but only after Alfred has finished searching. If one of the other searches finishes first, something else is going to be in the top spot until your preferred result comes in.
If the app you removed requires additional uninstallation steps, then you can contact the app developers by going to Settings > Apps and sales channels > Get support in your Shopify admin.
