 Looking for 

Job Title: QA Lead

Duration: Long Term Contract to Hire (will eventually convert to FTE but could be 1-2 years or as early as 6 months)

Location: Remote to start but must be open to Oaks, PA location in future

 

Note: To be eligible for this role, consultants must be authorized to work in US and convert perm without sponsorship now or in future.

 

Required Skills

7+ Years of QA/Software Testing experience with 1-2 years of lead responsibilities and working with off-shore teams (as on-shore lead).

• Experience with test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, BDD, TDD frameworks is a huge plus

• Experience with testing front end and backend APIs of Web and Batch applications

• Good understanding of RESTful API and SOAP web services

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Experience with testing web services using JSON requests using Postman or SoapUI

• Experience with test management tools JIRA

• Advanced knowledge of common software testing procedures and methodologies

• Familiar with new innovative trends or tools in the QA industry

 

Project/responsibilities  overview:

Going to be working with 2 project teams . application teams. Doing testing with APIs, front end, micro services. Deployments. They are getting into Docker and Kubernetes. A lot of testing around JIRA.

How many people are they leading? 3 people to start (2 are off shore).

How much of their day is leading vs testing? 80% hands on an 20% helping the team.

Automation or manual? Mostly manual testing but they are moving towards automation so would like someone to have that experience to help get there.

Day to day:

-              To start it will be mostly meetings to gain systems knowledge, as they get acclimated this will decrease

 Requirements

-              Must have a few years of lead experience

-              Strong SQL is a must

-              Looking for stability so someone who wants to be somewhere long term

-              Good coordinating skills and communication is more important than strong technical skills. They can teach if need be. Someone who can handle pressure.
