Role:  Linux Endpoint Administrator
Location: Foster City, CA - Locals only
Schedule: Onsite Tue–Thu (Hybrid)
Type: Contract

What You’ll Do:
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Ubuntu/Debian Linux desktops
• Use SaltStack (or similar CM tools) for configuration and automation
• Develop scripts in Bash/Python to automate fleet operations
• Troubleshoot system issues, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis
• Handle imaging, lifecycle management, software updates, and break/fix tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation and support change management
• Work cross-functionally with engineering and IT operations teams
What You’ll Bring:
• 6+ years supporting large-scale Linux desktop environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Ubuntu/Debian
• Proficiency in SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
• Scripting experience in Bash/Python
• Experience using Jira or similar tools
• Clear communication & strong follow-through
• Local to Bay Area — able to work onsite in Foster City
Bonus Skills:
• Experience with VDI environments
• Familiarity with VMware VDI platforms
