Friends,

With the new, 12 team playoff, I'm starting something new this year. You've heard of March Madness, we'll call this New Year Madness. The google form below is pretty self-explanatory, but each week you'll need to make your picks against the spread for every college football playoff game. I'm also asking you to pick your "lock of the week" for an additional 2 bonus points. 

Scoring will go up slightly each week:

• First round games - worth 1 point each (lock worth 2) 
• Quarterfinal games - worth 2 points each (lock worth 2) 
• Semifinal games - worth 3 points each (no lock )
• Championship - worth 5 points.

Winner will take home the pot (minus a small prize for second and third). I'll send out exact numbers once I know how many entries we have. The buy-in is $20 (low stakes for the first year), and the money is due to me by 8pm on Friday. Venmo (@eric-baker-4) is preferred, but you all know how to get me money. 

Feel free to share this with friends. Currently, I have no idea if 4 or 40 of you all will respond. I’ll send out picks, updates, and future forms as things progress.
