Hello,

first of all I'd like to say that I highly appreciate your work and
it's very kind of you to make this project available to everyone.

Now to the actual question: I've been looking at your code and the OO
Excel File Format Specification for the last 3 days to figure out how
to write data to Excel with some basic formatting (change font
attributes, cell background color etc.), nothing fancy.

Now I didn't dig too deep into your code but as far as I understood,
the functionality is there, or it could be a question of some minor
changes, or am I wrong?

Anyways, if you could provide an simple example of setting cell
background color or font, I would be extremely grateful!

Thanks in advance!

Furthermore,

I managed to set cell background color as property of the XF object.
The reader itself recogonizes and sets the background color in the
gridview, whereas Excel (tested 2003 and 2007) ignores it completely.

Set cell style(font, color etc.) is not supported yet. I'm busy on
other things.

Thanks for the answer!

if I get it running to a certain extent, I'll share it.

Good luck!
