Use PDF as Help File

Hi,

Is there any way to use the HelpTopic value to open a PDF file? That would be a better match to our environment than the CHM option.

I have tried a couple of options, but none work so far:

• "C:\Temp\PowerCalc User Notes.pdf" (C# won't compile this with the single backslashes"
• "C:\\Temp\\PowerCalc User Notes.pdf"
• "C:/Temp/PowerCalc User Notes.pdf"
• "file:///C:/Temp/PowerCalc User Notes.pdf"
• "file:///C:/Temp/PowerCalc%20User%20Notes.pdf"

Is there a way to do this?

Hi Andrew,

I don't think Excel supports this, we're just passing the URL to Excel.

Maybe if it were an http URL, not sure.
