Microsoft ended support of .NET 6 on 12 November 2024. Our IT division has a policy of not having any software out of support, although we managed to push back on this policy so far I don't think we'll be in position to resist for very long.

Is there any plan for Excel DNA to be compatible with .NET 8.0 Runtime? Microsoft seems to increase the release cadence of .NET and we wonder how ExcelDNA will manage to cope with it in the future?

Thanks,
JC

Hi JC,

Excel-DNA already supports newer .NET core versions since version 1.8.0.

See details here: Excel-DNA version 1.8.0

Thank you Govert,

I missed this release and didn't know ExcelDNA was now compatible with .NET 8.0. So far our tests look good on .Net 8.0 runtimes. The update was easier than expected!

Regards
JC
