Hi,

When loading my add-in I get a Diagnostic Display box saying: Initialization [Error] DnaLibrary AutoOpen Error: TargetInvocationException - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

As result my add-in doesn't load properly. I am using Windows XP and Office 2010 32-bit. How can I resolve this?

Does the simple example from the Excel-DNA distribution work on that machine? (You can download from here: https://github.com/Excel-DNA/ExcelDna/releases/download/v0.33.9/ExcelDna-0.33.9.zip) 

I'm not sure whether the current version has been tested on Windows XP. If the binary from the current version does not work, you can try version 0.32, which I think did work on Windows XP.

Is there any code in your own AutoOpen handler? Might that be throwing an exception - maybe some COM call that you are making is failing.

The simple Excel-DNA distribution example works.

I put a breakpoint on AutoOpen and it was not hit.

It may be worth noting that I also see another error on the Diagnostic Display box:

Initialization [Warning] Assembly OFFICE could not be loaded from resources.
