Dear Govert,

I get an error when  I open through PowperPoint  and only with office 2016 x86

Initialization [Error] DnaLibrary AutoOpen Error : TargetInvocationException - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
Initialization [Error] Integration.DnaLibraryAutoOpen Error : XlCallException - Exception of type 'ExcelDna.Integration.XlCallException' was thrown.

Step detail as below
1. Open PowerPoint application
2. Insert Chart --> powerpoint will open Excel for Edit Data

How I do fix it?

Thanks

I am not able to reproduce this problem.

When open PowerPoint and insert the chart, the Excel session that opens does not have the normal add-ins loaded.

So I’m not sure why they seem to load in your case.

For the embedding cases where an Excel sheet is embedded in PowerPoint, everything seems to work OK with the add-in.

I am testing with:

  • Add-in installed in Excel that are built with Excel-DNA version 0.35.4-beta4
  • Excel / PowerPoint version 1812 (Office 365 / 32-bit)

I don’t know how to get to a situation where an add-in is loaded in your embedding-from-PowerPoint case.

Do you know how I can force that?

Hi  Govert,

I use  Excel-DNA version 0.34.6 and I only see this error in  Office 2016 / 32-bit . Work normally with Office 365

This is my demo code

Step 1. Add add-in to Excel

Step 2. Open  PowerPoint   and  click insert chart
