Hi,

I have written a new Excel add-in that makes it possible to easily call Python code from Excel without making any Python code changes:

The project owes a great debt to Gevert, thanks for all your hard work over the years!

All the best,
Russel

I have done some performance testing and found my product to be as fast as PyXLL

The performance is a real credit to the Excel DNA project.

Hi, The Add-in looks great. I'll download it and give it a try.
One question, I noticed that you don't need to specify a 32 or 64 bit version of the Add-in - is this determined during the setup process? and if so how do you do this?
I use Advanced Installer (https://www.advancedinstaller.com/) to build the setup package for my Add-in (https://www.excelpricefeed.com/) but could not reliably determine if the user is running a 32 or 64 bit version of Excel - therefore they need to check themselves and select the appropriate download.
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,

xlSlim only works with 64-bit Excel and Python, I have updated the docs to reflect this. I use Advanced Installer too, it seems to be one of the best alternatives to build a nice installation package.

Your add-in looks neat, you have targeted a good audience.

Please do download xlSlim and let me know your thoughts. I have tried to make it as easy as possible for end users, no code changes, additional packages etc.

Regards,
Russel
