Parents~ It is going to be another hot day today, but we are still having practice!
Pack your athletes several bottles of hydration (If they are frozen or have lots of ice at the begining of practice they will melt and be cool by the end of practice).
*Plan is to bike, run and talk about race day strategy.
* Park bike outside front of pool.
* We are going to do a quick dip into the pool to cool ourselves off.
* Next we will grab our bikes and head down to tower park.
* We will have home base near the bathrooms in the shade and near a water fountain in case anyone needs extra water.
* You can pick your athlete up at the lower parking lot @ 5:30pm.
RACE WEEKEND:
Excel will have a tent/banner set up, so parents and athletes can place their stuff in it during the race.
I still have not heard word on the youth development team. My thoughts are if they have a practice Saturday after the race that our team will stay and watch them.
If they don't have practice after the duathlon then you should come down to the race on Sunday and watch them in action. I will keep you posted on anything I hear from the youth development coach.
