serialize function added backslash (\) to my value

Hi,

I tried to .add a string "johnson, Kent <ken...@abc.com>;Hensman, Sean <sean.c...@abc.com>;Brophy, Tony <tony.c...@abc.com>;Zhang, Jun (ZJ , HPIT-SSIT) <jun.cz...@abc.com>" from a cell.

But when I .serialize is became "Johnson, Kent \<ken...@abc.com\>;Hensman, Sean \<sean.c...@abc.com\>;Brophy, Tony \<tony.c...@abc.com\>;Zhang, Jun (ZJ , HPIT-SSIT) \<jun.cz...@abc.com\>" with extra (\)

Do you have any method to prevent this from happening?
