Hello,

I believe I have found an issue with the EPF.Yahoo.Historic.Close formula in Excel Price Feed.

When I use the following formula:

excel
=IF([@Ticker]="";"";IFERROR((EPF.Yahoo.Historic.Close([@Ticker]; [@Date]));"NA"))

it appears to return the Adjusted Close value instead of the actual Historical Close.

I have tested this with several tickers, and the latest example is for AMAT (Applied Materials Inc.):

  • Date: 19-Aug-2025

  • Formula output: $164.79

  • Expected Historical Close (per Yahoo Finance): $162.22

Could you please confirm if this is a known issue, or if there is an alternative formula to retrieve the true historical closing price rather than the adjusted value?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards, Sérgio

Hi Sérgio,

I have just been checking the various historical formulas, and have built a test spreadsheet. As far as I can tell the data is correct and corresponds to the Yahoo Finance website.

Can you take a look at the spreadsheet, and let me know if there is a formula I have overlooked? and also send the exact formula (excluding cell references) that demonstrates the problem?

The spreadsheet is attached to this message.

Kind Regards,
