Paintover the unwanted objects of your image and let Photoroom work its magic. Once you selected the object with the brush tool, it is automatically removed from the photo as if it was never there. Use it to erase any unwanted content, such as people, small objects, watermarks or text.
For example, when using images for various purposes like advertisements, presentations, or publications, it may be necessary to remove copyrighted watermarks, text overlays, or logos to comply with legal requirements or maintain a consistent visual theme.
Signing up to Photoroom is for free, and you are able to remove any object or person from your image for free. If you want to use other great features from Photoroom such as the AI Background Generator or want to delete the Photoroom watermark - then it is useful to become a Pro User.
One objective could be to enhance your visual aesthetics. Sometimes, certain objects or people in an image can distract from the main subject or overall composition. By removing them, you can create a cleaner and more visually pleasing image. The second use case to cleaning up a picture is photo retouching: In portrait photography, removing imperfections or distractions like blemishes, wrinkles, or stray hairs can help enhance the subject's appearance and create a more polished image. The last one to mention, is the object isolation: If you want to isolate a specific object or subject in an image, removing other elements can help draw attention solely to the intended focal point. This can be particularly useful in product photography or creating visual graphics.
Here's the essence of the problem: I have DropBox Pro installed on an iPhone 5s, iPad Air, MacBook Pro and Windows desktop computer. I do NOT want to clog up my iPhone, iPad and MacBook with files from DropBox. I want to simply upload and then delete them from the mobile devices. I'd like to use automatic Camera Upload but when I delete the photos from my iPhone or iPad I do NOT want them deleted from DropBox...as has happened on numerous occasions (most recently when I exchanged a broken iPhone for a new one and then tried to copy content from one to the other and subsequently delete unwanted photos...on the iPhone, not "unwanted" from my DropBox space). So how do I do a one way sync? Keep in mind that after photos appear in the Camera Upload folder, I MOVE them to a different desired location...and when they're deleted from my iPhone, they are still deleted from the new location!
Did this post not resolve your issue? If so please give us some more information so we can try and help - please remember we cannot see over your shoulder so be as descriptive as possible!
1) Navigate to the location within your Dropbox where you'd like to upload files
2) Select the ellipsis button (...)
3) Tap the "Add Files" button to select the files to upload. There is also an option to create a new folder.
I was able to clear MANY gigs of space off of my iPad, iPhone, and my MacBook Pro Retina using this feature within the Dropbox App on all devices. After I kept them all opened and made sure all syncs were finished, I deleted an unwanted pic from my camera roll. This kept the pic on my dropbox while it was removed from every device I had it located on. The program worked flawlessly. I then deleted every pic from my devices as I only wanted access to them online since my Macbook or iPhone is almost always with me. Now, I'm completely untethered from my local internal and external storage. Perfect solution for the supply and demand I was needing so desperately.
this doesn't work for me. if I delete photos from my samsung smartphone then they immediately get deleted from the dropbox folder on my pc. I'd like to be able to free up space on my smartphone but keep the photos in Dropbox folder on other devices
Not true. The Dropbox app on mobile devices does not store files like the regular computer clients do. Yes, it may have a copy of the files for a short time, but this is just a cache. The only files stored permanently on mobile devices are those marked as available offline. Otherwise any files stored locally by the Dropbox app are periodically deleted automatically.
Deleting the photo from your Photo Gallery (after it has been uploaded of course) will not delete the copy that was uploaded to Dropbox. The Carousel app (discontinued) had a nice feature that would purge any photos from the gallery that had already been uploaded to Dropbox. It's likely that will be incorporated into the Dropbox client at some point.
If I click on a particular image in DropBox from the Photos tab and then select "..." for its settings I see that is say "Make Available for Offline" which can be toggled to "Remove From Device". Which is the correct setting to remove them my device?
Is there a way to set the default to "Remove From Device" if that is the setting I'm looking for? I don't seen any obvious way to select all the images and set this globally.
Current Setting on all images and movies in Dropbox - "Photos"
Hi I am new to Dropbox & I have downloaded all my photos into my Dropbox on my PC & now I am wanting to delete the photos off my iPhone & iPad what I want to know is will I lose them from my Dropbox on my PC if I delete them off my mobile devices please help
I am vigilant in recording in a paper notebook what is in each photo by image number so I know (for example) which bird is in which image number. So image 435 is a Roseate Spoonbill on the camera screen. However, by the time I have reached image 435, I have deleted (for example) 30 images. So the Roseate Spoonbill appears to be image 435 on the camera screen (so is number 435 in my notebook). BUT when I move the camera images to my phone via SD card reader, and thus to the Cloud, the number is 465. I understand that the metadata, including image number, is attached forever to the picture as soon as you take it. But is there any way to have the Cloud image numbers match the camera except for not deleting any images on the camera?
My problem was that my pictures are a mix between my DSLR and my iPhones. I succeceed when I created a smart folder that found all pictures where there was a RAW+JPG by identifying them by camera model. Then I exported all pictures to a new folder. Deleted all pictures from Photos and also "recently deleted". The opened the export folder - moved the RAW files to a new folder and re-imported the JPGs.
In order to avoid this problem in the future and since I want to continue to use RAW, I copy all files from the camera to a separate folder, then I delete unwanted pictures. Import the RAW files I want to use in a separate RAW-editor (like Photoshop) export the JPG I want. Then I move all RAW files to an original folder which isn't backed to iCloud (I use other backup services for that). Now I import all the pictures to Picture.
When I import RAW+JPEG pairs to my Photos library, Photos will show the pair as a single photo. When I delete this single photo, both the RAW and the JPEG are removed from the Masters folder in the Photos library after I empty the Recently Deleted album.
i tried to just delete (in my photos app i dont have the Recently Deleted album) but when reimporting the jpeg file (only jpeg) i again have the picture in 2 format (jpeg+raw) which means that raw was not deleted and also the size of the photos library file is the same..... so all raw files are still there....(((
Is there a reason why you do not upgrade to El Capitan? The Photos for Mac application has been considerable improved in El Capitan, more features, important bug fixes. You cannot get the improved Photos without updating MacOS X.
- Result: At first glance, it looks like the photos have in fact been imported as simple JPEGs, but after 10-15 seconds, the RAW files appear too, stacked just like before, taking up in fact the same disk space as before.
I have talked twice to Apple Support, and their final answer is that they can not resolve the problem: It must be something that happens during the transfer, literally that my Macbook creates RAW files when I import JPEGs, and for a reason they cannot explain.
- This problem does only occur for pictures that I have previously imported to Photos and then deleted again; it does not occur for new pictures (i.e. if I shoot a new picture in RAW+JPEG, or just in JPEG, I have no problems importing just the JPEG)
we tried almost everything: export in jpg and raw, delete all photos, re-import only jpg.... etc etc............ no way.......... after reimporting... in a few minutes the raw files re-appeared in photos as a kind of ghost files
- The picture still appeared with a "J" (for JPEG), but: when I tried to switch to "R" (for RAW), the program actually couldn't find the file. So far so good. Even though, having such a "ghost" file in my library, making it look as if there were an underlying RAW file behind the "J", would not have been ideal; it would have been difficult to distinguish these pictures from the real/intact RAW/JPEG pairs still in my library; but well, at least it seemed to work. But once again, only at first glance:
What this means to me is that there is no difference between 1) deleting a picture and afterwards removing it from the "Recently deleted" album, and 2) deleting the picture directly in the appropriate Masters folder. (When the - thoroughly deleted and removed - RAW file re-appeared in my Photos library, it was also possible to find it again in the Masters folder.)
