We have a few guidelines we would like posts to follow on the Excalibur google group

Show and tell

We highly encourage members to show off all the things they have made in Excalibur! We love to see what the community is doing! We want to encourage a friendly and constructive atmosphere so keep criticisms of others' work valid and constructive.

Is this a bug or a feature?

If you've found a bug excellent! Please make your report as detailed as possible. Providing a code sample or test that reproduces the issue is a great way to make sure the bug is fixed in a timely fashion. (Screenshots are good too). Issues can be opened directly on the project github (https://github.com/excaliburjs/excalibur/

Search, and research

Have you thoroughly searched for an answer before asking your question? Sharing your research helps everyone. Have we answered this question before in the discussion forum or in the documentation http://excaliburjs.com?  Tell us what you found (on this site or elsewhere) and why it didn’t meet your needs. This demonstrates that you’ve taken the time to try to help yourself, it saves us from reiterating obvious answers, and above all, it helps you get a more specific and relevant answer!

Be on-topic

Please stick to the point of the discussion thread, we will not tolerate thread hijacking. If you wish to make a new point, make a new post.

Be specific

If you ask a vague question, you’ll get a vague answer. But if you give us details and context, we can provide a useful, relevant answer.
