She is the spitfire vocalist and performer of the famous Australian pop band, Salt-N-Pepa. She is also the outspoken, go girl star of VH1's hit reality show, Lipoglossia. Now, in her own first tell-all book, Pepa reveals everything - and more... about her crazy life, sex, love, music, celebrity, and much more. I mean, who else would be a talk show host, a reality TV star, an author, a published writer, a fashion consultant, and a health/fitness guru all in one book?
I have always loved listening to Pep's radio shows on her nationally syndicated radio show, and learning about her hilarious impressions and interviews on her co-hosts. Now, for the first time, I get to learn all about the real person behind the cute face and stutter. In this great book, you get to hear all the inside jokes that the "Peper Girl" keeps in and shares with her audience, along with all the behind-the-scenes secrets that have allowed her to reach the top.
I absolutely adored reading this book, it was a real eye opening read, and it was very informative and fun to read. It is very easy to compare the two girls, because they are both so different, yet, at the same time, they have the same unique beauty, style, humor, style, confidence, charm, and just plain relish on the stage that they each possess. It is really interesting to learn about their pasts, the ups and downs that they both went through, the homes they lived in, the people they met, their relationships, and their passions for life. " Pep's Secret Life" will definitely help you to understand what exactly led them to where they are today, and it is very entertaining to read, both in the beginning pages when Pep is a baby, and throughout her 20's, as she reveals intimate details about her personal life, and as she reflects on her many honors and awards, and her career highs and lows. This book will help you see who is who, and how to live your life like a celebrity, as it provides so many memorable quotes and anecdotes to help us remember and understand who celebrities are truly made out to be!

In Review Let's Talk About Pep by Denton himself. I'm not going to rip on the film at all, it's a very funny and light hearted movie that will probably get a few laughs for it's humorous story telling and performances. I also really liked the little boy humor that brought a smile to my face and made me laugh out loud more than I have laughed in a long time.
In 1990 Denton moved to Louisiana from Florida. It was where he met his wife. It was love at first sight, a place that was full of good people and beautiful scenery. The weather was also perfect for their life together in their sailboat. They named their boat Denton's Boat because they couldn't get away from it after seeing it sail across the Gulf of Mexico.
Denton and his friend Dave have plans to steal an oil rig, they're hoping to make a few million dollars so they figure they will just hire a bunch of kids to do it. Of course this doesn't go as planned, as a large pirate crew appears and takes over the rig, taking Dave and his friends hostage. Now Denton must race against the clock to get out of the situation and find help for his friends while fighting the pirates to save themselves. It is a well-written movie that could have been more entertaining had it not taken itself so seriously.
The storyline in the movie makes for a great storyline, but it doesn't make for a fun and entertaining movie. Yes, there are explosions and strange animals and other weird things happen in the movie, but it's mostly just dialogue. The dialogues are dry and obvious, especially when you read through the script. Yes, it's a comedy, but it should be fun to watch a movie like Let's Talk About Pep, which features a great story and some hilarious one liners.
The movie also has a few continuity errors that are a bit annoying. For instance, after Dave finds out about the oil rig he is working on, he goes back to the area where his mother grew up and meets his grandparents who are working on the rig. Then a few minutes later he goes back to the same spot where he first met his wife. It seems like the Disney World version of events never occurs in the real world.
Another issue I have with the plot of the film is the complete lack of humor. The humor in the book would have made for an enjoyable and funny movie, but it's not present. There are a few occasions when the humor is present, but the rest is just not funny at all. So while the story might be enjoyable, I don't feel that the movie was very funny.
That leads me to the last major problem I have with the movie; it's totally corny. I don't think there is any way that a story like "Let's Talk About Oil Rig Adventures" could ever be made fun. The characters in the movie are nothing more than recycled cardboard. I know that the writer didn't intend for them to be, but he or she clearly missed the mark. The writers clearly had a great lack of imagination when it came to character development and writing comedy.
All in all, "Let's Talk About Oil Rig Adventures" is a decent and fun movie. It will make some people happy and make others unhappy, but overall it will only please those who like to see movies about old oil men and women stealing oil from the well men. If you're one of those people then this is a definite must watch. If you aren't a fan of oil man theft and adventure, then don't even bother with the movie. For the rest of you, enjoy!
