Iended up getting the installer to work on a different PC I had here. Just didn't like something about my desktop I guess. Weird as it's the same machine I installed unRaid onto the generic USB stick with a month ago.

I'm now having this issue as well on a Windows 7 machine with a Sandisk USB 2.0 FIT and also with a Silicon Power USB 2.0 drive. It just hangs at "Syncing File System" after showing about 98% complete. This is obviously a real problem and hopefully something that will get addressed. I know the USB creator is relatively new so a few bugs are likely to be expected. Sadly it also forces you to re-download the OS image each time you try something different. I've easily used up over a gigabyte of bandwidth trying different drives and ports. It would be nice if the tool had the option to use a local copy of the OS image and/or it saved the downloaded version.

Yes but it defeats the purpose of the new easier-to-use tool, and may well cause some to give up on unRaid, if the recommended download and tool fails. I've been using unRaid since before the tool was released and know about the old way. It also doesn't help that unRaid is significantly different than any other NAS OS I know of. The others generally use an image file and a tool like Rufus, Win32DiskImager, etc. to create a bootable USB drive.

I used a real bare metal Windows 7 PC and downloaded the latest Unraid USB Flash Creator for Windows, version 1.5, built on October 25, 2018. I downloaded the installer zip for Unraid 6.6.5 and used the Local Zip option in the Creator tool and I can confirm that, while it works every time with the 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB Verbatim Nano USB devices that I normally use, it will not work with 8 GB or 16 GB SanDisk Cruzer Fit devices - I tried two of each.

I tried two front panel USB 2 sockets and two rear panel USB 2 sockets and every time the Verbatim devices were successfully written but the SanDisk devices failed at the "Syncing file system" message.

I then used the manual method on all four SanDisk devices, formatting them FAT32 and naming them UNRAID, dragging the files directly out of the zip and dropping them into the root of the flash, and running the make_bootable.bat file as Administrator. Created this way, all four work perfectly.

I also recently had this issue, right as i was about to try the manual way, i renamed the usb to "UNRAID" as per what it requires, i had forgot to close the usb installer, and as soon as i renamed it, it worked. In my case, the usb drive had no name at all, and adding a name fixed it. hope this helps someone!

The only thing that finaly worked was the completely manual process from the Unraid site ( _6/Changing_The_Flash_Device#Legacy_method_-_Windows_and_MacOS), which took 2-3 repeated attempts before I finally ran the "make_bootable.bat" file correclty; it didn't work from Admin command prompt, but it did work successfully when I right clicked and ran "as Administrator" directly from Explorer.

So, thankfully eventually the manual process worked and now boots without an issue . . . And, I'm super impressed with Unraid overall, but there is definitely a problem with the USB bootable installer for migrating/restoring, which would have been absolutely wonderful if it had worked.

Dell Precision 5520 laptop, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD drive, Xeon quad core. Not an old machine. Running Unraid USB Creator, trying to install on Sandisk Cruzer Fit 16GB. I formatted USB with "default allocation" and named it "UNRAID". Tried in both USB ports. Sits on "Syncing files..." forever. Why?...

Hello,

I have setup the DCSM module with all LSx RAM and all Flash Banks in Zone 1. After a reflash and device powerdown/powerup, my device seems to be stuck in the boot rom memory section. My software stack is in non-secure GS1, GS2. Boot pins and boot settings are default.

It appears using the On-Chip Flash CCS tool in CCS Version: 8.3.0.00009 to program the PSWDLOCK and CRCLOCK registers/OTP locations was causing the problem. On a fresh board, if I only performed steps 1 -3 in my first post, I did not have a boot issue. Since I did not yet want to upgrade to the improved CCS Verstion, my final work around involved using a .cmd and .asm file to program my DCSM OTP bits (steps 1-4 in my first post).

I'm having this problem with my Adobe Illustrator CS3 where I'll be using the pen tool, and out of nowhere (usually after I've undone a couple of things it seems), the program will get stuck on the hand tool, and won't switch to any other tool. Time seems to be the only remedy because the problem will persist even if I try to work on another file, or restart the program. It also carries over to Photoshop, which I don't recall ever giving me this problem. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've found that having google chrome or safari open can cause random glitches in Adobe programmes. Quit any search engine you may be using and see if the glitch goes away, if not, quit the adobe programme that you are using and restart. It should now be back to normal when booted back up.

It's not the spacebar. I wish it were that easy. I'm having the same problem in Illustrator and InDesign. It started after the Windows 10 update, but I don't know if its the Windows update or the recent Adobe update.

Don't think it is a spacebar problem. Look at -stuck-on-hand-toolicon/ for shared concern with many people. I have been encountering this on just about all tool-related programs -Illustrator CS4, Painter 11, Photoshop CS2. Every time the problem clears in a few minutes. I have XP Pro, 3 GB of RAM, Duo Core 2.40GHz - no memory issues. I suspect the problem is software related in how it is using computer resources - possible conflict with some Microsoft performance addition.

That might or mght not be an issue you are having but i have to say taking the approach orf selective choosintgg the answers will not solve your problem if Scott is correct then all the time you spend looking for your perfect software solution will be very costly.

3) Also, while the keyboard notion is a good thought, I'm thinking that we can't all have keyboard issues. My keyboard is almost new and every key works beautifully. Here is a filtered forum listing of others having the same issue. As you can see, this is very widespread.

I have found that the spacebar will release the hand tool for normal use, so I now think that the problem is the coding for the hand tool over-riding all other tools when used to move the stage or workspace onscreen. This is, afterall, a programmed use (and a good one) when other tools are selected and you need to quickly adjust the workspace.

I have the same issues. I use Adobe Illustrator with the brush tool with my Wacom, which always gets stuck for me. When illustrating in Ai, I use a combination of my pen and the space bar for navigation. The hand tool appears when I use the space bar and goes away when I release it. It gets stuck randomly. When I hit save and the file is large, I attempt to move the page while it's saving a file, or I switch between apps. I don't know what triggers it, but it happens.

I use a wireless keyboard, and the keyboard spacebar isn't stuck. It's a combo of things happening and a bug. The keyboard, Wacom, and Adobe may think the spacebar is still active, so it doesn't switch back to the previous tool when the spacebar shortcut is activated.

When this bug happens, I cut the power to my keyboard, which triggers the spacebar bug loop to close becuase the system is no longer connected to the keyboard. The tool resets itself, and I can go back to work.

CSL DD, all other drivers up to date. Tried two wheels ( club sport and Mclaren ) Regardless, Firmware still reads 0 ( firmware 41 ). If I unplug wheel, says all other software is up to date.. If I ignore & try to play F12021, Car drives like brakes are on & then random keystrokes. Have uninstalled drivers several times. After flashing, PC makes the same sound as if when an external drive is added & then dropped. Anything ? ( and thanks, I am a noob )

I've tried everything including, but not limited to : Intensely staring at it, threatening to call my wife on it. pondering getting my tools to dissemble & throw it all in the trash ( I'm still on option 3 ) .. but I've tried downloading older drivers, 410 , 412.. I'm very new to Fanatec & that bricking disclaimer makes me hesitate. When I unplug the wheel, everything says fine, after trying to re-flash wheel, just loops. I'm hoping Tech support monitors these pages & will chime in..

However as a tech savy person, i still believe this is a Software related Issue. The way Fanatec workswith flashing the Firmware is just very easy to Brick things, im also positive if the would be a way to actually reset the wheel flash the wheel with some dort of old hex file it would probably work but at this point it behaves like this:
