Whenan operator or a service provider registers with iTel Mobile Dialer Express for their company, a code termed as an operator code is assigned to them automatically. During the registration for this VoIP softphone app, the service provider gives information like softswitch IP, port number, and IVR extension. This information is stored against the operator code, so end users only need to input the operator code instead of all technical information.
Yes. You can download the free demo of this mobile VoIP application from the provided link and distribute it among your end users. The operator code will be provided by you as you are the service provider.
Collect! can also communicate with the Softphone of your choice, provided your O/S is configured already to handle the softphone communication protocol you specify. Non-TAPI systems can also use Auto Dialer. Please refer to Help topic, How to Setup the Auto Dialer for further details.
Operating System phone dialers and telephony support drivers are always changing. If you encounter any anomalies while configuring any of the settings mentioned below, please get in touch with Collect! Technical Services at Comtech Systems.
The Auto Dialer Preferences are linked to the WIP Options. If your operators have ever altered their WIP Options and selected the 'Save as Default' button, then changing the setting at the company level will not update the operators. If the operator has access to the Auto Dialer Preferences form, then they can simply check the box, go to the WIP Options, and select the Save as Default button. If they do not have access to the Auto Dialer Preferences form, then you will need to screenshot the settings and delete the operator configuration file from the applicable Collect!\config folders.
Enter your area code in this field if your telephone system requires you to remove the area code when dialing long distance within your own area code. When the dialer dials the number, it will remove the area code before dialing. For example, if your area code is 214 and you are dialing
214-555-1212 the program will dial 1-555-1212.
These codes are used if you need to dial out on a phone exchange or require support for third party carriers such as Sprint and MCI. You can set options for various phone call types. If a phone number you are dialing exceeds 7 digits, or you set the Prompt Before Dialing option, the Dial Phone dialog box pops up to offer you a choice of dialing types, including local and long distance. Any entered prefixed and postfixes will be used around the number being dialed.
For example, on some systems you dial 9 to get an outside line, and then you would want a short pause before dialing the main number. In that case, you would enter 9,,, to dial 9 and then wait 3 seconds before the dialer starts dialing the phone number.

If your phone system needs some special codes to be entered before actually dialing a local call, enter those codes here. A comma can be used to pause one second. Several commas pause several seconds.

Select this button to save changes you have made and return to the previous form. Collect! saves any changes you have made into the Collect configuration file in the Collect! program folder. Collect! will use the new settings when using the Autodialer, unless a particular operator has specific settings saved as default into their own custom configuration file.
The SAVE OPERATOR (or SAVE AS DEFAULT) button is used when you are setting Dialer options for a specific user. Select this to save these settings for the current operator ONLY. These settings will be used whenever the operator dials a number and does not update the global configuration for all users.
When prompted, select YES. This creates a configuration file for the operator in Collect!'s program folder. For example, own.cfg would be created if you were using operator OWN. Collect! looks for a .cfg file for the particular operator when it loads the dialer. If it doesn't find one, it loads the Collect! configuration instead with the global settings.
Once you have saved the Operator Configuration for an operator, you can use the Copy Operator Configuration feature, to set the same settings for all operators in your system with the same User Level.
The AUTO DIALER is simply a tool to automate the dialing of a phone number so that the operator does not have to dial the number manually. This item may require your technician. It is important that you print out this help about the AUTO DIALER and what is needed to set it up. Giving the printout to the technician will supply him with all the necessary information needed.
Take a look at this more general question about dialer codes (aka secret star codes) for reference, too: Is there an official dialer code resource? There are some good links there for lists of dialer codes and some caveats about using them without adult supervision.
If you do get this working, look under phone information, then set preferred network type. You'll have to read up on which type means what for your type of network, but this has allowed me to get better battery life and, at times, better cell service even with a 2G network.
This article is for administrators and IT professionals who are configuring Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile. Before configuring Teams Phone Mobile, be sure to read Plan for Teams Phone Mobile for information about benefits, requirements, and licensing.
Provide contact information. Your contact information, including your full name and email address, will be shared automatically with your operator. You can change this information later. Additionally, you'll need to provide company size, and you'll have the option to provide your phone number. Operators will use this information to contact you with more details about Teams Phone Mobile.
If you want to add your existing company paid SIM-enabled phone numbers to Teams, contact your operator to ensure you have the eligible Teams Phone Mobile subscription. Your operator can upload your numbers to Teams. After your operator completes the order, you can assign those numbers to users.
You'll need to provide your tenant ID. If you don't know your tenant ID, see Find your Microsoft 365 tenant ID. You may be porting an existing desk phone number or wireline number to a wireless voice subscription if it's supported in your region and by your operator.
How you manage phone numbers depends on whether you're setting up numbers for new users, or moving existing numbers from Microsoft Calling Plans, Operator Connect, or Direct Routing. The various scenarios are described in detail in Manage phone numbers for Teams Phone Mobile. You can navigate to the section that pertains to your scenario:
The emergency address is a static location associated with a number when accessible through Microsoft Teams endpoints/clients. Once you create emergency addresses in the Teams admin center, how you assign the addresses, or change them later, will depend on your operator.
The operator assigns emergency addresses to the phone numbers, and doesn't allow you to change them. In this scenario, you'll need to contact your operator to make changes to phone numbers and their assigned emergency address.
When calls are made through the native dialer of the SIM-enabled smartphone, your operator may use the geographic coordinates or cell tower handling the call to approximate emergency location for assistance.
Before removing an operator from your organization or from a country/region, you must remove all phone numbers assigned to users in the organization or country/region and contact the operator to release the numbers.
You can manage a user's incoming calling policies by using the Teams admin center or by using PowerShell. By default, incoming calls for Teams Phone Mobile users will ring the Teams app first on the user's SIM-enabled mobile device.
If a user's incoming calling preference is set to the Teams app, all incoming calls will ring the Teams app on the SIM-enabled smartphone and any other Teams endpoints on other devices simultaneously.
If a user's incoming calling preference is set to the native dialer, all incoming calls ring the native dialer on the SIM-enabled smartphone and simultaneously rings all other Teams endpoints on other devices.

This document describes the procedure you use to configure Cisco CallManager in order to allow customers to dial the operator by composing 0 (zero). This feature is also know as Private Line Automated Ringdown (PLAR). Though you can achieve the same result with the configuration of the speed dial to dial the receptionist or the main number, customers often dial 0 for the operator. This document explains how to configure the system to allow for this situation.
