Good morning,

First of all thank you for accepting my invitation to join this group.

I have joined this group because I am using multiple example42 modules and one of them it is Nagios. Well I am trying to use Hiera in passing variables for the host.erb but at the moment I am unsuccessful in doing so.

What I want to achieve it is to pass the required parameters from Hiera in order to create a new host on the Nagios web server but as I am a newbie to Puppet, I find it difficult to do so.

Could someone please point me in the right direction or how should I do?

Thank you and have a great day,

Regards,
Sergiu

Hi ,
I replied to you on Puppet Users group.
Currently the nagios::host resource can be used only in exported mode, if you want to use it to create custom statically defined hosts as specified on hiera, it would need a small refactoring.
