Hi all,

In the last couple of years I've written/updated/maintained a few ex42
Next-Gen modules (https://github.com/netmanagers) using Alessandro's great
framework.

Most of them are "mature" (if any piece of software can ever be called so), in
production use and available through puppetforge; a few of them (ie,
puppet-squid) is "almost finished but would love some reviewing/testing" and
others (ie, puppet-mikrotik) didn't even start for diverse reasons that we can
group under the descriptive name of "Life". :)

These same reasons have dragged me a little away from puppet this past year
and, although I keep maintaining servers with it and write some modules now and
then, I'm not able to maintain these modules anymore as I would like to do so:
There are PRs that need to be reviewed, perhaps fixed to pass tests and merged
(case puppet-bacula, puppet-bareos, puppet-nginx) and they've been sitting there
for more time that I'd consider acceptable and are now making me feel I'm being
rude for not paying attention to these contributors.

So I'd like to ask to whoever might want to help and feels like may maintain
any of these modules 8uto contact me in my personal email (javier at bertoli dot
com dot ar) so I can pass him/her the control over the module's repo and keep
things rolling.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Javier

Thanks Javier for the call out.
I definitively hope someone will come out and propose as maintainer.

I take the occasion to sum up the current status of Example42 modules.

Many of them have been deprecated, others have independent maintainers, here's the current list:

If someone is interested in taking over the maintainer ship of the modules please contact me or Javier (the ones he is maintaining are tagged with (netmanagers!) ).

If you are a maintainer of any of those modules and can't follow them anymore, please tell me... we are going to try organise this distributed maintenance  a bit better, starting for adding proper credits where relevant.

Best all,
al
