We have a urgent requirement of Linux L3 engineer for one of our reputed client into IT infra service in Vikhroli, Mumbai. Candidate must have experience n exposure of min 6 years in Linux L3, Linux OS fundamentals,Sendmail or Qmail or Postfix, DNS,LDAP,Apache, PHP apps and knowledge of Clustering or Virtualization.Please find the job description below.
Work location : Vikhroli
Shifts : No night shifts but general or rotating shift during day only.
Exp:6-10 yrs
Primary responsibilities
Support the Clients over voice/chat/mail
Responsible for the uptime of the various client projects being managed / monitored.
Make sure that the Tickets raised per shift are closed in the required time limits and if not escalated as per the escalation Matrix defined.
Raise and also update the tickets in CRM for all the issues handled / worked upon.
Report the daily issues handled / escalated in the form of Daily reports.
Apply patches to the OS / applications or upgrade the applications as and when required, as per the approval process
Monitoring & Management of Backup Application
Audits of the setups done by the fellow engineers to make sure that the setup being handed over to the customer is done to the customer’s satisfaction.
Make sure that issues are handled in right time frames as per the SLA / commitments.
Follow up with Vendors – hardware & software whenever required & resolve issues by minimizing downtimes
Strong Linux OS fundamentals
Apache, MySQL, PHP Apps
Strong knowledge of DNS.
Knowledge of any Mail application like Qmail or Postfix.
Working knowledge on any one of branded hardware vendors like HP/Sun/IBM/Dell.
Knowledge of LDAP, Tomcat/Weblogic/Websphere Application Servers and Any Backup application will be an added advantage, JBOSS
Working knowledge & concepts of Any Backup (like Veritas or Bacula or Legato)& Monitoring application (like Nagios, AdventNet etc..)
Knowledge of Clustering or Virtualization will be an added advantage.
