Hi all,

 

By now I think you will all have received a ballot paper from the Australian Electoral Commission for the Federal Secretary position with the ALAEA.  The ballot closes on the 22^nd but just to make sure the paper arrives on time, it would be wise to send it back this week. 

 

The other candidate has made some inaccurate statements in his blurb but it does read quite well for those who do not know either of us.  I am a little concerned that he may receive a number of votes if the readers consider his lengthy experience as something we need.

 

For that reason I think it important that as many of my friends return a ballot paper and not be complacent thinking that the result is a foregone conclusion.
