Request for Travel Grant - ICIAP 2019, Italy

Dear Alumni ,

Hope you all are doing well.

I'm forwarding the request of one of our junior Nabagata of CSE 2016-2020 batch in CC of this mail. He is looking  for financial assistance to attend the 20th International Conference on IMAGE ANALYSIS AND PROCESSING, September 9-13, 2019 in Trento, Italy for his paper presentation selected in LNCS Springer publications. He needs around 1 lakh to achieve this laurel. Please have a look at his request.

I am eagerly seeking an opportunity to perform high-quality work in Machine Learning and Computational Data Science to gain deeper insight. I am particularly interested in Deep Learning and it’s applications.
Being an enthusiastic learner, I have applied my knowledge in Computer Science in many academic and extracurricular projects and always venture to gain a deep understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science.  I have worked on coming up with a new algorithm to improve the existing models of Super-Resolution in Machine Learning. After that, I wrote a paper on it which got accepted at an International Conference(ICONIP-2018) in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I have also worked on projects like Facial Emotion Classification and Driver Drowsiness detection during my time at IISc. Recently, my second paper got accepted in an International Conference(ICIAP-2019) in Italy.

ICIAP 2019 is the 20th edition of a series of conferences organized biennially by the Italian Member Society (CVPL, ex GIRPR) of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). The focus of the conference is on both classic and recent trends in computer vision, pattern recognition and image processing, and covers both theoretical and applicative aspects, with particular emphasis on Image Processing.

The above-mentioned paper has been accepted for presentation at ICIAP 2019 and publication in the LNCS Springer conference proceedings.

I would love to attend the conference and after the conference, I will be happy to share the information I gain from attending with your organization. I would be happy to speak to your group following the conference with a description of the program. I also hope to share the many things I learned at the conference with other students in NITW.

I looked up the cost that will be required to go to the conference and present the paper and following is the breakdown(rounded off):-
Round Trip to Trento, Italy: 82k (HYD-VEN.pdf)
VISA to Italy                      : 8k
Accommodation(4 nights) : 19k

Again emphasing on the request of one of our junior Nabagata of CSE 2016-2020 batch in CC of this mail. Please find his remuse for further details. He is a expectionally good student and got Preplacement offer from SAP with a package of 26LPA.
