Hello everyone
It gives me immense pleasure in introducing TalQuo (Abbreviation for 'Talent Quotient' -
www.talquo.com), a product I had been working on for a while, to you. TalQuo aims to make hiring easier and more efficient by utilizing the power of personal networks.
Motivation, Philosophy and Vision behind TalQuo
While all of us know that referral hiring is the best form of hiring, we all face difficulties finding good candidates when we are looking to fill up a position and also finding good jobs and referral sources when we are looking for a change. This despite the fact that most companies have referral programs in place to incentivize employees.
When we dug a little deeper to understand this phenomenon, we realized that the problem lies more on the fact that employees, though willing to contribute in sourcing resumes, do not have a good way to broadcast this information. The most they do is reach out to select few people whom they are close with through traditional communication channels. In the process, they ignore the vast majority of their connections who might have been a better fit.
TalQuo is our attempt to resolve this issue by bridging the gap between companies, employees and candidates. TalQuo is a niche platform built for people to share and discover jobs in their personal network that includes their direct connection, alumni bodies, work groups, etc.
I request you all to give TalQuo a try and provide me feedback on the product and our vision. Also, please pass the word around so that more people can benefit from TalQuo.
P.S: At this point, we are focussing on making the app better for use by general users. We'll be launching enterprise end of the app by November this year which will make the entire process seamless.
