I saw Mr PKD who had come with a friend to this function. He was wondering why my picture was in the banner! I had been there as a guest of honour. We chatted for some time and renewed our contact.

Today I participated in the inauguration of Ghantasala Voice Club. This has been launched by Ghantasala Music School which has been conducting regular classes leading to certificate and bachelor's degrees in music. THe emphasis of the club is to train senior citizens in improving their singing abilities and promote public singing by seniors. Today, more than a dozen senior citizens sang several songs, some just after 3 days to a week of training! Their enthusiasm was amazing. This talent show casing went on for two and half hours non stop, keeping audience glued to their chairs. It was a happy beginning on Gandhi Jayanthi.

I always considered myself that I do not have an ear for music, but I was floored. No wonder, a decade ago when Google was launched, most searched topic was music! Unsaid agenda of my participation was to encash the opportunity to sneak in the concept of U3A.
