It was wonderful talking to you last weekend and this is my pleasure to invite you for a visit to East West Link/ EWL- Communication & Leadership Lab on this Saturday, Sept 25, 2010.

We have also invited few other student groups, we can easily accommodate a capacity of 20-30 people and it will be first come first serve basis.  

The purpose of this visit is to build our new team for this Fall 2010 semester. We are going to have a formal Training program with MCWS logistic collaboration at their school facility in Canton.
 
MCWS- Muslim community of Western Suburbs is one of oldest & largest community organization and we are very pleased with their approval for the EWL youth program to be held at their facility for high school & college students.  
 
Please, find the the details of the program which some of you requested me and if you have any question, please feel free to call me or ask at the meeting with our program coordinators.

Here, please note that this is only by invitation, however, you are welcome to bring a friend or family member that is a student of High school or college or a young professional looking for a job.

EWL Program History:
The EWL is holding an internship &  training program for over one year and to date we have 28 high potential and high performance  active students those have benefited from this program and out of 28 students 22 of them,  from Uof M-Ann Arbor, EMU,Uof M-Dearborn, WSU, Oakland University- Auburn Hills, Canton Plymouth, Livonia and  Novi High Schools have successfully completed their routine with this program.

EWL Training, also offers opportunity for College Graduates as an Interns plus Coordinator Positions. We have had many college graduates and post graduate young individuals and Young Professionals those have joined us as an intern plus mentor and training coordinator to learn and building resume for better job opportunities and visibility to higher level community organizations, for national level internship or successful career move.  

EWL Offers You
The program offers you a comprehensive and hands on approach for leadership development while enhancing the reading and writing abilities. With the first two phases of internship you will be involve with the following activities and opportunities for self development and early career building.

  • Preparing you for early career planing
  • Preparing you for future leadership role
  • Positive exposure to our community through publishing in EWL News/ views and Web blogging
  • Team Building through weekly brain storming session and special projects to suit you and have an interested in Contact building with 'Movers & Shakers' of our community and policy makers
  • EWL - makes you a published writer in your early age
  • Learning event coverage and Photography 
  • Become a Media representative at MSA / YMFA/ MCWS/ IAGD / Tawheed Center/ Unity Ctr. and for other Campus activities
  • One on one meetings and conducting interviews of professionals and successful people
  • Opportunity for community service and field experience with NGO's for' Day of Dignity', Habitat for Humanity and more
  • Sponsorship to high level events with our prominent organizations like ADC, ISPU, CAIR, Islamic Relief, CIOM, ISCOM, Life and  many more
  • Meeting both Political parties candidates and Democratic & Republican representatives,
  • Interviews with Professional from Law, Engineering, IT, Medicine and Research Professionals
  • Early mentoring from professionals from all disciplines such as CEO's, Communicators, Journalist, Photographers, Writers, Pol. Science expert,  Executives of NGOs, Engineers, Medical college professors, Business Mangers, IT professionals, CPA, Lawyers, Business owners, Imams, Activist and many more.
Each semester we selects high potential, college university and few high and middle school students from all fields of education. In the past, we have had students and mentors from all disciplines of education and professions and it's open to Art, Business, Communication/Media, Engineering, Pre-med, Political Science, Law and Med college students. We use Journalism as a developing tool and make you a published writer of one of the largest newspaper of it's kind and prepare you for major media fields while you could do your choice of education/career/profession with additional enhancement tools you learn with the program.
