I just was verified for US Daughters of 1812 a lineage organization
for John C. Ewing, a soldier in the War of 1812. John C. Ewing was
b. 08 May 1784 in Eastern Tennessee m. Elizabeth Dillard 29 Jul 1804
in Eastern Tennessee and d. 03 Mar 1847 in Logan County IL.

I descend from his son Christopher Columbus Ewing b. 25 Nov 1818 in
White County IL d. 09 Feb 1887 Logan County IL m. Adaline Metcalf. I
am the great granddaughter of Christopher Columbus Ewing and the
granddaughter of Dr. Francis Marion Ewing b. 11 Mar 1857 Logan County
IL d. 05 Jun 1919 Logan County IL m. Mabel Stokes in Logan County IL.

Any woman who is from this line is also eligible for US Daughters of
1812 who can prove their descent from him.
