Thank You , everyone who replied to my little bit cheeky message. I'm actually nicknamed Mr Grumpy at the Golf Course.  I'm sorry but I'm a bit of a sceptic; I have alway's believed (historical research results) that my Ancestors were moved from Ayrshire to Ireland by a Lord Eglington (Montgomerie) in the early 1600's and then also to the America's. I find it impossible to substantiate possitively any of my findings, what I do know for certain is that my gg Grandfather Mathew who was born in Ireland was in the employ of Lord Eglington in Kilwinning Ayrshire all his life. It is highly probable that my Ewings were Serfs to the Mongomeries ( Lord Eglington's).
These Lords were very much involved in the pioneering of migration from Scotland to Ireland and America.
I appreciate most of my evidence regarding my Ancestors in Ireland prior to 1800 is circumstantial can my connections on the dna tree help me here.

This is probably grasping at straws, but I have never been able to identify the origins of my gggrandfather Matthew Ewing, who according to the US Census of 1860 was born in Kentucky about 1795 and died about 1873 in Indiana, according to a summary of his will.  Several years of inquiry have proved fruitless, but one never gets the answer until one asks the question, so there it is.
