Stepwise fitting procedure

Hi everyone,

I am currently encountering an issue I would like to share with the community.

I am trying to fit an EwE model to data. I would like to use the stepwise fitting procedure to do it and adopt the following method: 1) estimate vulnerability multipliers by predator: keep the best fit and estimated vulnerabilties and 2) estimate additional multipliers by predator/prey.

The problem is: each time i try to do the step 2, the vulnerability multipliers are reset. Even if I uncheck the "reset vv on run" box in the "fitting to time series" tab...

Did someone have this issue before and find a way to fix it?

Hi Mikaëla,

The stepwise fitting routine does not adhere to any settings in the fit to time series, and vulnerabilities are reset for every iteration by design. Other than having us add the same option to the stepwise fitting, there is no other work-around right now.

However, adding the option should be quite straight-forward. I'll look into it.
