The first EWB-UK Design for Global Health Workshop has arrived!

 
Date: 13th November 2010
 
Venue: Cambridge University, Department of Engineering, Trumpington Street, Cambridge CB2 1PZ
 
Focus: Healthcare Needs Assessment - This workshop is the first in a series to discuss, design and prototype healthcare technologies for the developing world. This session will loosely focus on the new WHO document 'Medical Devices: Managing the Mismatch' and explore the assessment of healthcare technology need.
 
Speakers:
 
Kalipso Chalkidou - Director of NICE International, a non-for-profit department of the National Institute of Clinical Excellence which works with individual governments or funding agencies to support local teams to develop local solutions. Kalipso will introduce the concepts of Healthcare Technology Assessment in a developing world context.
