Hello!
Qasid Safir is a researcher looking at the project known as the ‘Desert Fridge’ in his spare time.
The idea is that the fridge is a way for rural farmers to store their goods and keep them fresh for the journey to market – thereby allowing them to benefit from selling their goods at a higher price. What Qasid and his team would like to get advice on is regarding the cold storage of tomatoes. They understand that the optimum temperature range is from 14-21oC and relative humidity is 90-95% but they need to know the allowable daily/seasonal variation within this range.
(see http://desert-fridge-research.blogspot.com/ for more information).
If you can help, please contact Qasid directly using Qasid...@ewb-uk.org .
Thank you.
