As Ambassadors to the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, our mission is to interact externally with prospective UCLA Engineering students and UCLA Engineering alumni by showcasing the quality of a UCLA Engineering education and the achievements of the faculty. Our goals include informing prospective students of all HSSEAS and UCLA have to offer, and entice them into apply to and enrolling at HSSEAS. Ambassador duties will include: giving specific tours of Engineering Campus and research laboratories to give prospective students and alumni an overview of what our engineering program has to offer them, being on call on certain weeks to answer questions and address concerns of students and alumni with respect to HSSEAS.
We are looking for students whose passion for engineering and UCLA in general will shine through in their work as an Ambassador for Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science. As wonderful as HSSEAS is already, we’d like our work as Ambassadors to highlight the very best of our school. In your time as an Ambassador you will develop skills in presentation, networking, and have a chance to give back to the UCLA and HSSEAS community.
The recruitment process includes an application and a second round interview for the most qualified applicants. If selected, there will be 2-3 training sessions in order to ensure the Ambassador is fully informed and able to answer any questions concerning HSSEAS.
