Fall 2024 Distributions

[EWB-NEU Distributions]

Hi everyone,

I want to try to get out a "Distributions" in early March this semester, which largely relies on the work of everyone addressed on this email (read the underlined roles below). For those of you who are unfamiliar, distributions is designed to highlight everything the club has done for the past semester, it is a great way for new members to quickly catch up on the recent work we've done and for existing members to learn about the activities of the programs they are not associated with. 

I have attached two past publications for you all to reference, a 2020 publication and the most recent 2023 publication. Additionally, I am more than happy to help answer any question you have.

What I need you all to do:

Program Leads (please reference the 2020 publication that is attached) - Overview of the current status of the program, recent activities (recent is not as important for this edition), and future goals AND a write up about one person in your program that you feel deserves recognition, this could be a member who is doing a lot, a mentor, or even a lead if you really want (it can also be multiple people if you condense the written portion)

External and Internal Events - I want to add a section all about the events we have had and are planning to have, please reference the 2023 publication I attached and try to write about half of as much as is currently in the "Recruitment" section

PR & Recruitment - either section is good to reference but the 2020 looks nicer, if you have some statistics you can talk about that would be great, otherwise try to take from the attached publications and talk about our social media.

VP Dev + Treasurer - This section can be anywhere from two short paragraphs to a page, as much as you have to write about is great with an emphasis on donations we have received, see either publication for reference. I would also appreciate a list of our recent donors to update the "thank you" page.

[EWB-USA NEU Internal Events]

Hello,

This semester EWB has hosted two chapter-wide bonding events to foster community within the three programs. In the fall semester, we had a bowling event in East Boston. In February we had an EWBakeoff; each ewb member brought in their best baked goods and we voted on our favorites. The homemade focaccia sandwiches were the well deserved winner. Before the semester ends, we hope to have a fundraising event. We are brainstorming some different ideas, but right now we are thinking of hosting a jerry can walk-a-thon. We are also going to celebrate all of our hard work at the end of the year with a lunch featuring food from Guatemala, Panama, and Uganda.
